Scrip Program Fundraiser

Scrip Overview

If you would like to earn several hundred dollars per year to help pay your band, orchestra, or guard student’s annual fees and trip expenses, please consider taking advantage of the Scrip Fundraiser offered by ZBOP.  Many families have earned hundreds of dollars each year by ordering scrip cards (gift cards) every month to use for their normal monthly budgeted expenses.

Here’s how the program works.  Families buy gift cards through the scrip program for face value and redeem them for face value.  Scrip participating retailers sell the gift cards to ZBOP at various discount rates.  ZBOP keeps the difference as profit.  Order gift cards for your normal monthly spending at the grocery store, gas station, department store, restaurant, etc, and 95% of the profit from your family’s order will be posted to your student’s fundraising account.  5% of the profits will be retained by ZBOP to pay program expenses.  Your amounts can be increased by taking orders from extended family, neighbors, and co-workers, especially around the holidays.

Scrip cards are processed monthly, year round.  Scrip order dates for 2011-2012 are Wednesdays June 8, July 13, Aug 10, Sep 7, Oct 5, Nov 9, Dec 7, Jan 11, Feb 8, Mar 7, Apr 11, May 9.  Orders should be mailed to Christie Crockett, 11020 Brentwood Ave, Zionsville 46077 or dropped off at her house by 8 pm on those Wednesdays.  Pick ups will be scheduled on the Monday and Tuesday evenings two weeks later, either at Christie’s home or at the school, depending on that month’s Market Pantry schedule, as well as other rehearsal and concert schedules at the school.  An email is sent each month by Christie to those who placed orders with pick up details for that month.

Orders should be accompanied by a check for the total order payable to ZBOP.  We cannot accept cash.  Please be sure to print the latest version of the order form each month from the ZBOP website.  Retailers are added and dropped and denominations change periodically so you can avoid errors by always using the current form.

For those families new to ZBOP scrip, please complete an enrollment form to be submitted with your first order.  If your contact information changes, please submit an updated enrollment form so that we may contact you in case of questions about your order and to assure your student’s account is properly credited.   The enrollment form is also available on the ZBOP website.
